Then he said to me, “These are the ones who died int the great tribulation.t They have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb and made them white.

This is just crazy! It says they have dipped their robes in the blood of the Lamb and made them white. How could this be? Jesus blood is what cleanses us from all of our sin and makes our lives and our hearts as white as snow...clear from any blemish. Again, those who are persecuted seem to have a special place in heaven. So you've got those, and then you have the 144,000 from the tribes of Israel...where does that leave us? I pray that God will reveal His purpose to us when we read this book because it has some beautiful aspects.
9 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.
ReplyDeleteThis verse really stuck out to me as i was reading, then after reading Tito's it makes perfect sense. There were 144000 from the tribes of Israel, but then multitude from every nation came in white robes that were cleansed by the blood of the Lamb to worship him at his throne. These multitudes are referring, i feel, to me personally and everyone who follows Christ but is not in the tribes of israel.
